Presentation
On the mountainside above Wagrain, Chalet Joy is a luxury catered home with sweeping views across the valley and the surrounding Austrian Alps. Its seven bedrooms, all doubles, sleep up to 14 guests. Two of them come with a private sauna, one alongside a Turkish steam room. Several couples, families and larger groups of friends will find plenty of space and privacy here.
Substantial timber, natural materials and contemporary furnishings give the interior an upscale alpine feel. The living room centres on a fireplace and a television, and opens onto the balcony. A separate dining room seats the whole group for breakfast every morning and a three-course dinner on six evenings. Beer, wine and soft drinks are included.
At the top of the house, the main bedroom has a wood-burning stove, a private sauna and a walk-in wardrobe. Its bathroom has both a bath and a shower. It opens onto a balcony shared with the second double alongside, which has its own bathroom and walk-in wardrobe too. Two doubles on the living level share a bathroom. Downstairs are three more doubles: one with a sauna, steam room and shower of its own, and two with private bathrooms off the hallway.
The heated ski room takes care of skis and boots. When snow conditions allow, you can start and finish the ski day close to the chalet. Four free parking spaces sit at the chalet, and a car is the best way to get around. The final stretch of road is steep, so snow chains are worth bringing. Firewood for the stove and the fireplace is included, and so is the Wi-Fi.
Big views, a log fire and saunas tucked into two of its bedrooms make Chalet Joy a real treat above Wagrain. Friends travelling as couples or a celebrating family will love a week exploring the 210 km Snow Space Salzburg, part of the vast Ski amadé.
