Presentation
High above Val Thorens, Chalet Caribou sits just 200 metres from the slopes, with a ski route back to within reach of the door. It stands within the Chalet des Neiges residence, one of the highest in the French Alps, and shops and restaurants are a short walk away. Sleeping up to eight across four bedrooms, it works well for a larger group or a family. Guests also share the residence's indoor heated pool, a sauna, a hammam and a jacuzzi.
The chalet has a warm, sociable feel, with a log fire at the centre of the living area. There is comfortable room for the group to gather, and large windows make the most of the high-altitude light. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with a dishwasher and coffee machine on hand.
Four bedrooms sleep up to eight, each served by its own bathroom for four in total. The layout gives everyone their own space, with rooms to suit couples, children or friends sharing. Bathrobes and slippers are provided for trips down to the pool and sauna.
Downstairs in Chalet des Neiges, the leisure facilities are a real draw. Guests can swim in the heated indoor pool or ease tired muscles in the sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. A ski room with boot warmers dries boots for the morning and keeps skis and boards out of the chalet.
