Presentation
The Charvet apartment sits at the top of the gondola, inside the Refuge de Solaise above Val d'Isère, with the peaks and the valley spread out below and ski-in/ski-out access from the door. Across 380 m² on two floors it sleeps eighteen — a genuine rarity for a large group or several families under one roof. Throughout the stay, guests have the run of the refuge's wellness area, which includes a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna.
The living room is built around a fireplace, an open-plan kitchen alongside and a long dining table positioned to take in the mountains. Each bedroom has its own minibar and Nespresso machine, afternoon refreshments are served, and a butler looks after the apartment through the week.
Four bedrooms have queen beds and three have kings that convert to twins, with a dormitory completing the sleeping arrangements. Every bedroom has a bathroom or shower room of its own.
The wellness area is the heart of the refuge: a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam room to ease tired legs, with a Nordic bath as well. A sports hall and a children's playroom complete the floor.
Valet parking and a luggage service take care of the arrival, and equipment is stored in the ski room. The Refuge has its own restaurant and bar, no small thing at this altitude. Beds are made before you arrive, with bathrobes, slippers and towels provided, plus a mid-stay and an end-of-stay clean. Breakfast, a private chef, grocery delivery and ski-equipment fitting can all be arranged at extra cost.
