In the historic heart of Val d'Isère, Chalet Mélanie is a traditional, independent property full of authentic character. It sits a short walk from the resort centre, around 100 metres from the slopes. Spread over 137 m², this old-village home sleeps up to ten and suits an extended family or a large group after a proper mountain retreat.
A cathedral living room rises under a high beamed roof, with a fireplace at its centre and logs provided. The south-facing balcony looks out over the surrounding mountains from a peaceful spot in the old village. Built for group cooking, the open-plan kitchen comes with a Nespresso machine, a dishwasher, and raclette and fondue sets for long evenings around the table.
Four bedrooms sleep the group. Two hold double beds on the main floor, while a children's room adds two sets of bunks, good for children or friends sharing. A further double sits up under the eaves, reached by a steep ladder stair and best kept for adults. A family bathroom, a shower room and a separate WC serve the four-bedroom layout.
Ski storage in the basement keeps boots and skis out of the way between outings. A washing machine and tumble dryer help on longer stays, and a covered, heated garage sits right in front for arrivals by car. Beds are made up before arrival, with fresh linen and towels included, and a local concierge service can arrange extras on request.
