In the heart of old Val d'Isère, moments from the slopes, Chalet Angelus is a magnificent home over five levels, served by a lift. A private swimming pool and hammam sit on the lower floor. Five bedrooms sleep up to fourteen — a prize for a big group or a celebration with family and friends.
The first floor is the chalet's hub: a living and dining room gathered around a fireplace, with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen alongside. It is a warm, sociable place to come together after a day's skiing, the fire and the television made for long evenings in.
Five bedrooms are en-suite doubles, with shower rooms or a full bathroom, and several can switch to twins. A cabin room with two sets of bunks sleeps four more, en-suite too — good for children or friends bunking in.
The lower level is a retreat of its own. The pool and its relaxation area sit beside the hammam, to ease tired legs after a day on the snow.
A ski room with a boot warmer, a laundry room and outdoor parking are all on hand. The welcome runs to champagne, flowers and a continental breakfast, with daily cleaning and a concierge service through the stay.
