Cosy and all on one floor, Chalet Columbia is a catered Val d'Isère apartment for up to six, with a hot tub on its balcony taking in wonderful mountain views. Inside, there's a log fire to gather round on atmospheric evenings. Its three bedrooms suit a family or a group of friends.
A stone wall gives the open-plan living room its character, with the sofas, dining table and kitchen all together. Once dinner is cleared, that is the spot to settle in and reflect on the day.
The double has its own bath plus a separate shower, and each twin has a private shower room, so every bedroom is en-suite. The second twin opens straight onto the balcony. A TV, a safe and USB charging points are in all three.
Your hosts cater every day but Wednesday, starting with a cooked or continental breakfast. Afternoon tea and freshly baked cakes wait for you after skiing. Dinner is served in the living room, where an apéritif and canapés lead into three courses with complimentary wine.
The building has a communal entrance lounge, and a shared ski locker room holds skis and boots. Everything is ready on arrival: made-up beds, towels, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. A mid-stay clean and free Wi-Fi are included as well.
