Chalet Le Pré Saint-Jacques stands on its own in open countryside at Les Chartreux, in Tignes Val Claret. The golf course surrounds it in summer, and it is quiet in every direction. Six bedrooms and 180 m² give room for fifteen. A fireplace anchors the living room, and a bar stands beside it. It has the space for a large group, or for several families together.
The entrance floor is the sociable one. Between the fireplace corner, the television area and the bar, the living room looks south-east, and a separate dining room seats all fifteen. Fully equipped, the kitchen includes a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine. A second small kitchen alongside adds a freezer and a sink, which helps at this scale.
Three bedrooms sit on the ground floor: one with three single beds and two with twins, each with a private bathroom. Two more upstairs look out at the lake of Tignes and at the Grande Motte glacier, sharing a bathroom. The sixth is a family room, with a double below and two singles on its mezzanine.
Boots and skis go in the storage area by the entrance, which has a boot warmer and a bench.
Firewood is included, ten logs of it, with a cot and a high chair available. Towels are provided and the beds are made up before arrival, with an end-of-stay clean at the finish. Dogs are possible by prior agreement with the agency, for a small charge.
