Presentation
Chalet Zanskar carries five stars and was refurbished inside and out in 2017, its larch facades weathered to the colour of sand. A jacuzzi sits outside on the ground floor terrace. It stands at the top of Tignes les Brévières, in the Belvédère, facing south and west, 200 metres from the slopes and the lifts. Six bedrooms sleep twelve across 180 m², which suits a large group or several families sharing.
The living floor is entered from a large terrace. A living room sits under a high roof, a fireplace at its heart. Beside the kitchen stands the dining room, with a snug alongside holding a bookcase, a television and a home cinema. Open to both, the kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, ceramic hobs and a Nespresso machine, so catering for twelve is straightforward.
All six bedrooms have a private bathroom. Four sit on the ground floor, three with twin beds that convert and one with a double bed, each bathroom holding a bath. Two more are in the attic, one with convertible twins and the other with a double beside a large south-facing window.
The jacuzzi shares that level with the private ski lockers and their boot dryer.
Two indoor parking spaces come free with the chalet. Bathrobes, slippers, towels and bath mats are provided. A cot and a high chair can be arranged. Beds are made before arrival and an end-of-stay clean is included. Meals can be catered at extra cost.
An outdoor jacuzzi and a home cinema make Chalet Zanskar a strong five-star choice in Tignes les Brévières. A large group or several families will ski Tignes and Val d'Isère from the lifts just down the hill.
