Presentation
From the door of Chalet La Perle, a blue run is barely 30 seconds away, leading down to the Chaudanne and Paquis lifts. Finished to a high standard, the catered home in Tignes le Lac has a private steam room among its comforts. Five bedrooms, each a twin, sleep ten over four floors, enough for a big group of friends or an extended family to share.
Traditional wood gives the living floor its warmth. At its heart, a round log fire stands on a stone column, with red carpet, sofas and a TV gathered around it. Panoramic windows fill the room with light, and the kitchen and dining table share the same space. Outside, a large south-facing balcony looks out over the resort.
Every bedroom has a bathroom of its own. At the very top, a room under the beams has a corner bath behind a curtain. Two more, on the first floor, open onto a terrace, and one of their bathrooms has twin basins. On the ground floor, one has a balcony and the other a wet room. Four of the five also have a separate WC, two of them across the corridor.
Cooked and continental breakfasts are both on offer, and there are freshly baked cakes at teatime. Each evening except Wednesday, an apéritif and canapés come before three courses served with complimentary wine. On the hosts' night off, the restaurants of Tignes le Lac are within a short walk.
You'll find the beds made when you arrive, with towels, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers waiting. There is free Wi-Fi, and the chalet is freshened up with a clean halfway through the week.
