Tucked away at the entrance of the Vallunga valley in Selva di Val Gardena, Chalet Nëidia is a cosy catered base in the heart of the Italian Dolomites. Quiet yet convenient, it is a short walk from the lifts of Selva and the famous Sellaronda circuit. The chalet sleeps up to 23 guests across 11 bedrooms, all en-suite and most with a private balcony. It is a lovely choice for larger families and groups of friends.
Your stay is on a bed-and-breakfast basis, which leaves your evenings free to explore Selva's restaurants, mountain huts and hearty South Tyrolean cooking. Each morning the hosts prepare a generous breakfast buffet, with fresh bread, regional produce and good coffee setting you up for the day ahead. Two evenings are spent together over pizza and fondue nights, with all your drinks included — coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer and wine.
The 11 bedrooms are spread over three floors, each bright, comfortably furnished and en-suite. There are six doubles, three triples and two singles, with an extra bed available if you need it. Most open onto a private balcony with views of the snow-covered Dolomites, a fine place to pause after a day on the slopes.
