Presentation
Chalet Retreat is the small one, and it makes a virtue of it: an architect-designed home of 78 m² in Saint Martin de Belleville where the living room is given over to the fire, the valley view and little else. There is no television, only Wi-Fi, which suits a week built around the mountains. Three en-suite bedrooms sleep six, a fit for a group of friends or a family, with a private sauna downstairs and skis on at the door.
A wood-burning stove heats the open living space, an 8 m² balcony facing west down the valley. An induction hob, a Nespresso machine and a large fridge cover proper cooking, with the dining table in the same bright room.
The first-floor bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite with a bathtub and overhead shower. Downstairs, a queen room has a large shower of its own and a twin room a bath. Two separate WCs serve the chalet.
A private underground parking spot comes with the chalet, and the ski room has boot warmers. The utility room holds a washer-dryer for the week. Beds are made up before you arrive, with towels, bath mats and tea towels.
