Presentation
Aged wood and Arpin wool give Chalet Alpea a hand-crafted, traditional feel, set in the Caseblanche hamlet at Saint Martin de Belleville. Its ski room leads straight onto the slope, so the skiing starts at the door, and a large sauna waits inside. Four en-suite bedrooms sleep eight, room for a big group taking it together.
Sunlight fills the living area, where big sofas gather by the fireplace and a wrap-around balcony looks out to the mountains. The dining space is open-plan to it, and the kitchen is built round a large gas cooktop and a bean-to-cup espresso machine. Upstairs, a separate television room gives the group a second place to settle.
Two master bedrooms have queen-size beds. One adds a walk-in wardrobe and a private balcony facing the summits, with an en-suite of walk-in shower, bath and double sinks. The other has a large bathroom of its own, again with a bath, and a separate WC sits between the two rooms. On the lowest floor, two twin rooms each have an en-suite shower room and share a balcony — four bathrooms in all.
An underground parking space is included, and the ski room has boot heaters. The laundry room takes care of the week's washing. Winter stays come with beds made on arrival, towels, bath mats and tea towels, a midweek clean and Wi-Fi throughout.
