Presentation
Once a traditional horse stable, Four Twenty L'Elé is now a modern chalet of real architectural flair near Montriond, with floor-to-ceiling windows, wood-burning stoves and a hot tub in the garden. It has two living rooms and two kitchens, so an extended family or a big group of friends can spread out or come together. There is room for ten in five bedrooms, plus a sofa bed for two more. A free bus stops a few minutes' walk away, running to Morzine centre and the Ardent lift. Guests can also book a private driver in winter at extra cost, and a call or WhatsApp at any hour brings a minibus to the door within about 20 minutes, for the lifts, shops, bars and restaurants.
Light floods the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area on the entrance level through glass-fronted windows facing the garden and the Parc des Dérêches. An impressive wood-burning stove takes pride of place, and the dining table is surrounded by rocking chairs. Glass doors open onto a balcony that catches the sun into the evening, while an outdoor staircase leads down to the garden.
Downstairs, a second lounge has its own wood-burning stove, TV, dining area and kitchen, plus a large private balcony. Its extra-large sofa converts into a bed for two. The chalet can also be booked as two separate homes. Upstairs, Chalet Bobb has three bedrooms for six, while this lower floor forms Apartment Deux Chevaux, with two bedrooms for four, or six using the sofa bed.
All five bedrooms are en-suite. The master on the top floor has a king-size bed, an internal window looking through the living room to the valley, and a bathroom with a freestanding bath. Two more top-floor bedrooms and the two lower-floor bedrooms can be set up as doubles or twins, each with a shower room.
The ski and boot room by the entrance has heated boot and glove racks, and hire equipment can be fitted in the chalet at extra cost. There is parking for four cars, a lockable store for bikes and a sheltered area for working on kit. A laundry room sits behind the kitchen. Sports and film TV, Wi-Fi and The White Company toiletries are provided, and pets can come along.
