Presentation
Chalet Écliptique sits high on the Super Morzine side of the valley, taking the sun from morning until night across one of the largest gardens in Morzine. This ultra-modern hosted chalet has a hot tub for ten, a hammam, a glass-walled gym and a cinema room. A glass lift links every floor, a real help for every generation of the family. Five en-suite bedrooms sleep ten, or 12 using the bunks, so a large family or friends travelling as a big group have room to spread out. The private driver is included in winter, on call at any hour by phone or WhatsApp and aiming to arrive within 20 minutes. Trips can be booked ahead. The minibus goes anywhere in Morzine or Les Gets, from the lifts to an evening out, and out to Ardent and Prodains for Avoriaz.
The lounge is the showstopper, with cathedral wood ceilings, a modern wood-burning fire and huge picture windows framing the mountains. A couple of steps down, the dining table sits beside a wine cabinet for 180 bottles, with sliding doors to a sunny terrace. Gaggenau appliances fill the kitchen, including two rotisserie ovens and a refrigerated drinks drawer, making cooking for the group a pleasure.
A floor below, the bar has stools, a TV and a pool table that converts into a games table. Its doors open onto a large terrace looking across the whole village to the Pleney slopes. A few steps lead down to the hot tub, then on to a fire pit and a big lawn.
All five bedrooms are en-suite, with stone sinks and rain showers, and each opens onto a terrace or garden. The master and bedrooms three and five have queen-size beds. The master adds a window seat in front of a huge picture window and its own secluded garden area, while bedroom five has a freestanding copper bath and a sun terrace. The other two have custom-built doubles, one with two single bunks above so it sleeps four.
Down on the lowest floor, the cinema room has a starlit ceiling, plush sofas and beanbags. The gym has a Peloton bike and treadmill, while the hammam is ready for a steam after skiing. There is also a laundry, a boot and bike room with boot dryers, and parking for four cars, two of them under a carport.
On five days a week, the hosts serve a continental breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks, and take care of the housekeeping. Champagne, fine wines, beers and soft drinks come included. Evenings are free to cook in that kitchen, order meals in at extra cost, or head out to the restaurants of Morzine.
