Presentation
Perched high above Méribel at the Rond-Point des Pistes at 1,850m, the Rooftop Chalet in Résidence Le Grand Chalet des Pistes delivers a truly elevated ski stay with direct access to the slopes of the Three Valleys and its 600km of skiing. Facing the Rhodos piste and just moments from the ESF meeting point, it’s perfectly placed for getting out on the mountain, while Ronnies is close by for après-ski. Back at the residence, a superb wellness area with sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, fitness room and massage cabins offers a more relaxed way to round off the day.
Spanning around 210 m² across the top two floors, this penthouse has been designed to maximise both space and views. The south-facing living room is the standout feature, with a ceiling height of over 6 metres and an impressive 13-metre-long wall of windows that floods the space with light and frames panoramic views across the peaks, forest and ski slopes. The open-plan kitchen and dining area flows into a vast living space of over 100 m², creating a sociable setting that’s ideal for shared meals, games and evenings together. Step outside onto the 25 m² west-facing terrace—perfect for soaking up the afternoon sun and taking in views across the eastern side of the Allues Valley—or enjoy the additional 13 m² balcony for a different perspective. The interiors, designed by Jean-Marc Mouchet, combine reclaimed wood, leather and contemporary finishes to create a stylish yet welcoming alpine feel.
Sleeping is arranged across five bedrooms, accommodating up to thirteen guests. On the upper level, the master bedroom features a double bed and an en-suite with bath and shower, positioned to enjoy views of the slopes. A second double bedroom on this floor includes an en-suite shower room and can also accommodate a sofa bed if required. On the main level, two further double bedrooms each benefit from en-suite bathrooms, while a children’s bedroom offers bunk beds, a small TV area and an additional sofa bed—ideal for younger guests. An extra bathroom and separate WC help keep things practical for larger groups.
Guests benefit from a full range of included services, including beds made on arrival, towels, welcome toiletries and regular cleaning, along with a concierge service to help organise every aspect of your stay. The residence, renovated in 2021, combines its iconic Méribel exterior with a refined, modern interior and excellent shared facilities. A private ski room with boot dryers, fibre Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and three parking spaces complete the setup. Altogether, this “chalet in the sky” combines exceptional design, standout views and a prime slopeside position, making it one of the most impressive places to stay in Méribel.
