Presentation
Ski-in/ski-out right on the Doron piste, Chalet Trois Ours sits on the exclusive Route des Chalets in Méribel, within walking distance of the resort's shops and restaurants. A private outdoor hot tub and a steam room are ready once the lifts close. Six bedrooms sleep up to 12 on a catered basis, a natural fit for an extended family or a crowd of old friends.
Laid out over four floors, the chalet has a traditional alpine style. Its open-plan living and dining room centres on a beautiful stone fireplace, with comfy sofas gathered round. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the mountain views, and a large balcony makes a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink. A Nespresso machine and specialist teas keep everyone going between meals.
Five of the bedrooms are doubles that can also be made up as twins, each with its own bathroom, and three of them open onto balconies. A cosy bunk room completes the sleeping. It isn't en-suite, but a wet room with a shower and steam room is on the same floor, alongside a separate WC, giving six bathrooms in all.
Out on the terrace, the hot tub is ready to ease aching muscles, while the steam room warms everyone through after a cold day. A gym has a treadmill, bike and free weights, and a treatment room is set aside for massages. Film nights happen in the cinema room, which has Sky Sports, Netflix and a selection of movies.
A professional chef cooks dinner five evenings a week, and breakfast is laid on every morning. The bar is open all week, with wine, cocktails and spirits included, while two hosts and daily housekeeping look after the chalet. An all-day driver links guests to the rest of the resort.
In the boot room, warmers dry boots ready for the next run and skis stay out of the living space. Two outdoor parking spaces, Wi-Fi, dressing gowns and slippers are all provided.
