Presentation
Traditional Savoyard architecture meets sleek contemporary design at Chalet La Folie, a 420 m² catered home on the Route des Chalets in Méribel. The ski-out onto the Doron piste is about a minute from the door, with the resort centre a few minutes further. An outdoor hot tub and a sauna await after skiing. Five bedrooms sleep ten, made for a large family gathering or a sociable group of friends.
Double-height ceilings and vast floor-to-ceiling windows give the open-plan living area a light-filled feel. A central stone fireplace draws everyone together for après-ski drinks, and south-facing balconies catch the Alpine sunshine. In the kitchen, a Nespresso machine keeps the coffee coming between the chef's meals.
Every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The master is a fixed double, and the other four can be set up as doubles or twins.
The hot tub and sauna soothe tired muscles once the lifts close, and the gym is ready for anyone with energy to spare. With a pool table and table football, the games and cinema room keeps everyone entertained in the evenings.
La Folie comes fully catered. Breakfasts are served every morning and a professional chef prepares gourmet dinners on five nights, with wine, champagne and cocktails flowing throughout. Two hosts take care of the daily housekeeping, and a driver is on call all day.
Skis and boards go in the ski room, where warmers have boots dry by the morning. Private parking, Wi-Fi, an Apple TV and a Sonos sound system are all here, along with dressing gowns, slippers and luxury toiletries.
A stone fireplace at its heart, sun-trap balconies and a hot tub and sauna for the evenings give Chalet La Folie real style in Méribel. Ten friends or a multi-generation family will feel right at home here between days in the Three Valleys.
