Presentation
High on the sun-drenched Chavannes side of Les Gets, Chalet Tosca is a private, peaceful home with uninterrupted views of Mont Chéry. Its large, flat garden has a hot tub, a fire pit and a pétanque court, while inside there is a sauna and a cinema room. Six bedrooms sleep 12, or 14 with the sofa bedroom, so a large party of family or friends can spread out across four floors. In winter, a private driver can be added at extra cost. A call or WhatsApp, day or night, brings a minibus. It drops skiers at the lifts and runs out to Ardent and Prodains for Avoriaz. Later, it collects everyone from the bars and restaurants.
Level three holds the open-plan lounge and kitchen, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing Mont Chéry. Velvety sofas face the log burner, with a view of skiers on the distant slopes, and a separate nook is set aside for TV. The kitchen shares the view, with a Nespresso machine, a dining table for 14 and four stools at the island. Self-catering for the whole group is easy here. A large balcony with a hammock runs alongside.
Each of the five main bedrooms has its own en-suite and a TV, and the four doubles can each be set up as twins. The master has the whole top floor to itself, with an egg-shaped bath facing Mont Chéry, a shower room and air-conditioning. Two king-size rooms on the lowest level open onto the garden, and another double has a shower room. The bunk room sleeps four in single beds, with an en-suite bathroom. A sixth room, the sofa bedroom, has a trundle bed for two and is recommended for children.
The lowest floor also holds the cinema room and a sauna with a shower, with the hot tub just outside for the end of a ski day. Out in the garden, there is a barbecue and sundowner seating around the fire pit. A visiting spa therapist can be arranged at extra cost.
A heated driveway has parking for four cars. By the front door, the ski and boot room has warmers to dry boots and gloves. There is a laundry room and Starlink Wi-Fi. Guests are welcomed with a hamper of Champagne, beers and snacks. A private chef, hosts or meal deliveries can be arranged at extra cost.
