Presentation
Among the pine trees in La Plagne 1800, Chalet Zibeline is a catered home with its own garden and a wood-burning stove. With four bedrooms for up to eight guests, it suits a larger family or a group of friends wanting a place to themselves. The free resort bus calls about 30 metres away, ready to take you to the lifts or on to Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecôte.
Living, dining and cooking share one open-plan space on the first floor. French windows frame panoramic views down the valley, and the comfy seating by the stove makes nights in feel snug.
Every day starts with breakfast of fresh bread, cereals and yoghurt, plus a hot special such as scrambled egg with smoked salmon on most mornings. Each afternoon there is a cake baked that day. Five evenings end with a three-course dinner, wine or beer flowing freely. On the other two nights, the hosts will book a restaurant in La Plagne 1800 if you would like a night out.
Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms: a twin next to the main entrance and the master double upstairs. Under the roof, two rooms with twin beds have lower ceilings and share a large bathroom one level down, making three bathrooms in total.
A ski store sits on the ground floor, alongside a boot warmer, so boots are dry for the morning. The chalet is cleaned daily. Included in the price is a shared coach transfer from Geneva, timed for flights arriving before 1pm on changeover day and departing after 2pm on the Saturday you leave.
Fireside evenings and three-course dinners make Chalet Zibeline a gem in La Plagne 1800. A crowd of eight friends or an extended family will find it a fantastic place to stay while skiing the enormous Paradiski.
