Presentation
A hot tub and a Finnish sauna share the balcony at Chalet Plume, a traditionally built catered home on a quiet road in the heart of La Plagne 1800. With four bedrooms, all en-suite, it sleeps ten and is ideal for a big family gathering or a large group of friends. The free resort bus stops about 30 metres from the door, making it a quick ride to the ski lifts, Plagne Centre or Plagne Bellecôte.
Lounge, dining area and kitchen share the first floor along with the master bedroom, and a log fire sets a warm tone for the evenings. A Wii and table football on the landing add some friendly competition.
A fresh cake appears every afternoon, the perfect welcome back from the slopes. Breakfast is served each morning, with a hot dish such as French toast with bacon on most days. Dinner is three courses with free-flowing wine or beer on five nights, and a cheeseboard follows if you have room. Two evenings a week are yours to eat out in the resort, and the hosts will gladly recommend somewhere.
Upstairs from the master double are a twin and a room that works as a twin or a double. A family room for four completes the floor, divided by a sliding partition with a bathroom at each end. One more bathroom, with both a bath and a shower, sits on the first floor.
The hot tub, open Sunday to Friday, and the sauna look across the valley, ready to ease tired legs once the lifts close. Downstairs, ski storage and a boot warmer keep kit out of the living space and boots dry. There is parking outside. Housekeeping comes in every day. A shared coach from Geneva is free for flights landing before 1pm on Saturday and leaving after 2pm on your last day.
