Presentation
Right in the centre of Plagne 1800, Chalet Petit Chardon is a modern catered hideaway 200 metres from the piste. Its guests share a pool, a sauna and a squash court with the other residents of the complex. It sleeps six in three bedrooms, all twins, and suits a family or a small group of friends.
Everything sits on a single floor, around an open-plan living area that centres on a corner sofa by the wood-burning stove. Beyond the dining table, the kitchen has a breakfast bar with stools. A large south-facing balcony looks out over the surrounding peaks.
One twin has a generous en-suite with a walk-in shower and opens onto views across the pool and ski area. The other two share a north-facing balcony. Of these, one has its own en-suite, and the smaller twin has a shower room just across the hall.
Your hosts serve a cooked or continental breakfast each morning, and afternoon tea comes with freshly baked cakes. In the evening, an apéritif and canapés are followed by three courses with complimentary wine. On the hosts' Wednesday off, dinner out in the village makes a change.
Beds are made up ready for you, and towels, toiletries, bathrobes and slippers are all supplied. Wi-Fi and a mid-stay clean are included. Skis go in a timber-lined ski locker, where boot dryers have boots ready for the morning. The Mélèzes lift and the ESF meeting point are a short walk away. A stop for the free resort bus to Plagne Centre is just outside the door.
