The lounge runs into an open-plan kitchen, so whoever is cooking stays in the room. A Marshall speaker and a large television are there for the evenings. The coffee machine covers the mornings and a dishwasher deals with what follows a long dinner. Six can sit at the dining table, which is what makes the apartment work when friends come round. Off the living space, a balcony catches the afternoon.
