Presentation
The ski room at the Domaine du Jardin Alpin opens straight onto the green run of the same name. In Courchevel 1850, that is about as simple as a ski-out gets. South-facing balconies run off the living space and both main bedrooms, looking into snow-laden firs. Three bedrooms sleep six — two in the apartment, a third in an attached studio — a layout that suits a family or friends sharing.
Breakfast can go out on the balcony, where a table and two chairs are set out. Inside, sofas and armchairs are grouped in the living room and six sit down to dinner together. A Nespresso machine and a dishwasher sit alongside the hob and oven, enough to put a proper meal together after a day out. A washer-dryer handles the week's laundry.
Two bedrooms sit in the main apartment: one with a king-size bed and an en-suite, the other with a queen. Both open onto a balcony. The attached studio holds the third bedroom, made up as a twin or a double, with a television and a bathroom of its own. A third bathroom with a bathtub makes three in all, plus a separate WC.
There is parking on site, and the residence is quiet and secure, with skis left in the ski room between days. From the foot of the building a gondola runs down into the resort centre, so dinner in town is a short trip. Welcome gifts, hospitality products, fresh linen, towels and an end-of-stay clean are all included, and a concierge is available through the week.
The appeal at the Domaine du Jardin Alpin is simplicity: skis on at the ski room, a green run home, and a gondola for the evenings. The Three Valleys open up from the bottom of that run, which is what a group of six or a family sharing comes for.
