Presentation
Chasseforêt has it both ways: a private hamlet of its own, and the whole of Courchevel 1850 on the doorstep. The piste is 100 metres from the door. Below the living floor an outdoor jacuzzi looks out to the Dent du Villard, which is where the day tends to finish. Five bedrooms and 250 m² sleep ten, and the layout suits a big group who want their own corners of it.
The ground floor is one long room: living space, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen running into each other. It is warm and well finished, with a Bose system wired through. The table seats all ten, with the kitchen alongside, so whoever is at the stove is still part of the evening. A dishwasher and a coffee machine cover the daily round, and there is space to put a proper meal together for a full house.
All five bedrooms sit together on the lower level, each with a double bed and a bathroom or shower room of its own — five in all. One bathroom per bedroom is rare at this size, and it shows on a ski morning when ten people are getting ready at once. Having the whole sleeping floor to itself is the quieter luxury: upstairs can run as late as it likes.
The ski room opens straight off that lower floor, so boots and skis go in on the way through. Boot warmers have them dry by morning. Parking comes with the apartment, along with a washing machine, Wi-Fi throughout, and linen and towels laid on before you arrive.
For all its size, Chasseforêt stays discreet: a hamlet address, its own sleeping floor, and a hot tub set well back from the resort. Several couples or a larger group of friends could ski the Three Valleys all week from here and still feel they had Courchevel 1850 to themselves.
