Presentation
Chalet Matisse Haut sits in the heart of La Tania, just 200 metres from the slopes and 250 metres from the ski school meeting point. It is a catered chalet, so breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner are taken care of for most of the week. Sleeping eight in four en-suite bedrooms, it suits a family or group of friends who want to be looked after.
The living and dining area is bright and open, with comfortable sofas plus huge windows leading out to a sunny terrace. A log fire gives the room a cosy focus after a day on the slopes. Downstairs, the games room has a TV, table football and an Xbox. Board games cover quieter evenings, and children have a space of their own.
All four bedrooms have their own facilities. On the ground floor, the double has an en-suite shower room with a basin, and a separate WC sits nearby. Upstairs, three twin rooms each have an en-suite bathroom, giving four bathrooms in all.
Your hosts serve breakfast and afternoon tea every day, with dinner-party style evening meals and house wine on five evenings. On the sixth night they leave everything for a traditional raclette, wine and dessert included, and the seventh is free to try La Tania's restaurants. The hosts also clean on five mornings, and beds are made up ready for your arrival.
Boots and skis go in the ski room at the entrance, shared with Chalet Matisse Bas, where boot warmers dry kit overnight. Parking spaces sit right outside, with a large free car park in the village. Wi-Fi, a Bluetooth speaker and Netflix-compatible TV are included, plus lift pass delivery. A cot and highchair come on request. Shops, bars and restaurants are about three minutes on foot. For groups of up to 16, it can be combined with Matisse Bas to make eight bedrooms.
With catered meals, a log fire and a games room, Chalet Matisse Haut is a warm, welcoming base in La Tania. It is a superb choice for a family or friends skiing the vast Three Valleys.
