On the snowfront of the Bellecôte piste, Chalet Ecosse is one of Courchevel 1850's most prestigious addresses. Completely reimagined in 2021, this 650-square-metre chalet skis straight to the door and sleeps up to 12 across six en-suite bedrooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows draw the mountains inside, and a spa with a pool and hot tub awaits below. The main living level is wrapped in glass, framing the peaks beyond. At its heart, a sculptural fireplace anchors two generous lounges and a dining space made for long, candlelit dinners. A marble bar adds glamour, while a home cinema and a music bar, strung with instruments, keep the evenings going. The kitchen has everything you could ever need for a week away, but with the catered option you probably won't spend much time using it.
The six bedrooms are spread over the upper floors, each en-suite. Four are elegant doubles, while a dedicated VIP bedroom enjoys a large bathroom of its own. Crowning the chalet, the master bedroom is a retreat in itself, with a king-size bed, a walk-in dressing room and a bathroom that opens to the mountains.
Below ground, a spectacular spa is the showpiece here, with a pool an outdoor cedar wood jacuzzi looking out to the slopes. A hammam and sauna add to the indulgence, and a Pelaton bike is on hand for warming up the legs. Of course there is a wine cave, which stands ready for choosing the evening's bottle.
